Overview

Scout Stop is a national directory of scout-friendly overnight lodging. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

Data We Collect

We collect: (1) Venue submissions — venue name, address, contact details, photos, and notes you provide when submitting a venue; (2) User account data — name, email, and profile information from your OAuth provider (e.g., Google) when you sign in; (3) Usage data — session information, requests to our servers, and error logs necessary to operate the service.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. Supabase sets cookies to keep you signed in. These are essential for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

We rely on: Supabase (authentication, database, file storage) — your account and venue data are stored there; Vercel (hosting) — our application runs on Vercel's infrastructure; Google OAuth — if you sign in with Google, Google provides your email and name. Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us (see below). You can sign out and delete cookies via your browser. Account deletion can be requested and we will process it in accordance with our data retention practices.
